Yana Skorobogatov, Assistant Professor of History at Williams College, teaches Russian and Soviet history. She is currently working on two book projects: a forthcoming book about the Soviet death penalty after Stalin, and a book about the transition from communism to capitalism in Sakhalin, Russia, from 1985 to the present.
